BRIEF HISTORY
PT DOK & PERKAPALAN KODJA BAHARI (persero) was established in 1990 as four (4) shipyard companies integrated to improve our performances. The shipyard companies : PT. Dok & Perkapalan Tanjung Priok (Persero) established since 1891, PT. Kodja (Persero) established since 1964, PT. Pelita Bahari (Persero) established since1964, and PT.Dok & Galangan Kapal Nusantara (Persero) established since 1964 - merged into the company better know as DOK KODJA BAHARI (DKB). The 1990 merger was aimed consolidate the synergy among the shipyards, improving productivity and effectiveness. DKB’s corporate structure is made up of five (5) production units and six (6) branches with the following details:
- Shipyard I
- Shipyard II
- Shipyard III
- Shipyard IV
- Shipyard Paliat
- 1 branch in Cirebon
- 1 branch in Semarang
- 1 branch in Banjarmasin
- 1 branch in Palembang
- 1 branch in Padang
- 1 branch in Sabang
- 1 branch in Kabil, Batam Island (in progress)
DKB also has two (2) subsidiaries, which are:
- PT Kodja Terramarin, whose core business is the manufacture and sale of chemical products.
- PT Airin, whose core business is freight forwarding and container depot.
